General description
Native TIMP-2 from human rheumatoid synovial fibroblast. Member of a family of inhibitors that participate in the activation and regulation of MMP activity. Forms a non-covalent stoichiometric complex with latent and active MMPs. Shown to inhibit the activities of MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-12, and transin.
